Oits “ALO VERA” Martin born on the 22nd of August 1973 has been performing since 1993 on the local circuit. Alo Vera started singing at a tender age, at St. Annies Comprehensive High School while growing up in the Spoilers Community of Central Kingston, singing on sound systems, at fairs, barbeques, and various other community events. He has worked with the likes of Tboots Harris, Naciamaj, Karim from Orange Hill, dubmaster Pops and the renown dub pet Oku Onoura. Alo Vera’s songs “Love”, “Love can Save the Day” and Mama Cry have been heavily rotated on local radio stations courtesy of Roots FM and Best FM. His music has been getting rave reviews and rotations on internet radio stations as he slowly makes moves onto the International Reggae scene.


Alo Vera recently registered his own recording label Alo’s Records. He is a prolific writer, sultry, smooth and charismatic in his delivery. Alo Vera is known for his unique style of singing and his sounds offer a Jazzy/Reggae feel and he thrills audiences with his cool and easy flows. His conscious lyrics embody the Jamaican culture with universal slogan of love peace and unity. Alo Vera strikes to be an example to follow, a role model a, a leader in every right and a Rastafarian in faith. Alo Vera is one of Jamaica’s promising young artists and has cemented his place in the music industry. He released his debut album in 2011 ‘Love Can Save the Day’, and two music videos while working with a lot of different producers in Europe, Africa and Jamaica. Alo Vera has also Just released an EP ‘Roots Radic Soldier’ with six tracks, featuring a big collaboration with renowned artist Jah Mason called, 'Jamaica a Paradise' his latest project.
